Cochranes Hotel is a medium sized, family run hotel that prides itself on providing a standard of service and friendliness that cannot be found in impersonal hotel chains.  It is situated on the North bank of the Firth of Forth in Rosyth, close to Dunfermline. The hotel is ideally located as a base for exploring the Kingdom of Fife with its multitude of historic buildings, famous Golf courses and cycle routes.  And the City of Edinburgh which is only a 15 minute trip by train or 20 minutes by car.

The Hotel has a large car park and is well served by public transport, with railway stations at Rosyth, Dunfermline and Inverkeithing (on the main line).  It is also close to the 'Park and Ride' terminus at Ferry Toll, providing easy access to the City of Edinburgh. It is also just a few hundred metres from the Rosyth Ferry Terminal from where there are sailings to Zeebrugge.

It has an integral restaurant that serves a wide variety of home cooked food, two bars, a beer garden and a children's play area.  Satellite television is installed in the main bar with Sky Ultimate Sports showing all football and all other sports, Satellite TV is in all the bedrooms and the adjacent Fitness Suite.
The Fitness Suite is well equipped, staffed by fully trained instructors and available to hotel guests at no extra charge. Incorporated within the Fitness Suite is 'Charisma Beauty' Salon and the Tasty Tuck Cafe Bar (Price lists are available on the web site). The hotel is easily accessible for disabled people, including unaccompanied wheelchair users, and has two bedrooms specially adapted for their use.
